I just realized yesterday that I haven’t blogged for a month. Time flies when life intervenes. I have most spent my time doing painting on my apartment building and other related indoor/outdoor activity. But I haven’t forgotten my blog. Far from it! I have also been researching what I need to do to turn my early blogs into a book.

I previously self-published a book about my childhood n 2012 titled Pauly’s Mother: A Story of Childhood Loss and Recovery. You can find it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. So writing and self-publishing are not new to me. In fact I knew when I started my blog I would turn it into another book. And even though I’ve been through this before, the publishing industry is changing so quickly that I realized I wanted to self-publish differently this time. So that’s why I needed to do more research. At this point in time I expect to have it published no later than end of first quarter 2015. I’ll keep you informed.

My last blogs had to do with allergies. I am happy to say that I was able to get through the allergy season without the use of allergy pills – no pharmaceuticals. As noted before, I started using a neti pot and that made all the difference in the world. I highly recommend you try it if you have airborne allergies. I think of it as a miracle, even though people have been using it in the Far East for, probably, centuries. It’s yet another example of Ancient Wisdom.

Speaking of which, I have also been taking an online course in Curanderismo, which is Spanish for ‘folk medicine’, It is offered by the University of New Mexico and is eight weeks long. I will take my last online class today or tomorrow. While it won’t make you into a healer (curandero or curandera), it is a wonderful overview of Native American and Mexican American healing techniques, including the use of natural herbs. I find the herbal information especially interesting.

Well, that’s all that’s new for now. I will be back to continue my blogs as I incorporate those efforts with my book writing project. Have a great week. I’ll be blogging on a regular basis again soon.
